Week 2, Day 11, REST

On this day you can incorporate some active rest (AR) that involves non-contact and light to moderate intensity sport or recreation. If you can access a swimming pool or sauna, it would be good practice to recover with some low intensity laps or walking in water to relax and keep the blood flow circulating throughout the body to remove waste and repair damaged muscle tissue. You could also go for a bike ride, kayak, walk the dog, sail or anything that involves activities of daily living (ADL) such as gardening.
